Aurora Education Programs

Each year a color guard is recruited among the Aurora student body for appearances at our annual Gala and parades. It consists of 24 youngsters who carry the Aurora banner, the U.S. and Italian flags, and the flags of Italy's 20 regions. Click here to see photos of the color guard

Project Italia

Altar of Peace (Ara Pacis)

Our program to acknowledge and promote the Roman foundations of the Italic people. It is centered on the Altar of Augustan Peace, a monument in Rome that was consecrated on July 4th 13 B.C. and represents the culmination of Italy's first unification under Rome as well as the start to the Roman Peace (Pax Romana), a 200-year period of relative peace in Europe and the Mediterranean.
