Level IV
For Lesson 1 – Italy was the third nation to launch a satellite into space in 1964, after Russia (USSR) and the United States.

For Lesson 2 - Italian architects designed many buildings in Russia during the 1700’s, especially in St Petersburg.

For Lesson 3 – The origin of the name Jersey, as in New Jersey, is from Caesarea commemorating Caesar Augustus, the first emperor of the Roman Empire.

For Lesson 4 – Although both Spanish and Italian came from Latin some words have very different meanings. burro in Italian means “butter.” but burro in Spanish means “donkey.”

For Lesson 5 – When you turn on a faucet in America the “C” stands for Cold. But in Italy “C” means Caldo (hot). Be careful!

For Lesson 6 – Our expression “Dear me!” probably comes from the Italian “dio mio! (My God!)
