IIA Sues Columbia University over Misuse of Casa Italiana

La Casa Italiana The Italic Institute of America has sued Columbia University for turning its back on La Casa Italiana's stated mission to diffuse Italian culture in America and to the Italian-American students at Columbia.

La Casa Italiana, built and funded by Italian Americans and donated to Columbia in 1927, was supposed to serve – and did serve for many years – as a center to diffuse Italian and Italian-American culture and learning to Americans of Italian descent and ultimately to all Americans.
